International Women’s Day was originally called International Working Women’s Day, which is celebrated every 8th of March of every year. It commemorates the movement for women’s rights. This is a global day whereas all women celebrate the:
Social, Economic, Cultural and Political Achievements of ALL WOMAN!
This year we are asking all woman to #beboldforchange and on this day: “On International Women’s Day, let us all pledge to do everything we can to overcome entrenched prejudice, support engagement, and activism, and promote gender equality and women’s empowerment” – UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres
We, woman, are like superheroes! Many of us work from home, at home, or a corporate office and many of us our day NEVER end. Especially those of us who have a husband and children. When we are done working, we come home to work some more, i.e., cooking, cleaning, washing, bathing our kids, homework, etc… So, on this special day, I ask everyone to say #thankyoumom #thankyouwife #thankyousister #thankyoufriend for being who we are and going above and beyond to help those who need help, to help our children, our husbands, our friends!

As you may already know, you can be successful in anything you do, as long as you work hard, you are dedicated, you have passion, you have motivation…But here are some things to ponder:
You decide when you want to work
You decide what jobs to take
You decide how many hours to work
You decide how much you want to make
You can do the work that you love
You may earn more than what you currently earn
You are your own boss
Your work may not be consistent
You may have to work 50+ hours per week
Your life can and will be mixed with your personal life
Waiting 30+ days to get paid
You will NOT have benefits, health insurance, etc…
You will have to wear many hats; accounting, administrator, sales and marketing, publisher, content writer, etc…
You will NOT be able to earn any cash until you actually find work and you may not receive your first payment for 60 days…
So just like anything you decide to do, you have to be serious, dedicated and NEVER GIVE UP!!! It will all pay off and the rewards will be GREAT!!!
I started my business 16+ years ago from the ground up, with no help but my husband and my kids. I made mistakes, I got frustrated, I got discouraged, it was stressful and painful, but I’m very thankful that I NEVER GAVE UP and kept on going…
Let me tell you, that #freelancing WILL GIVE YOU a lot of beneficial benefits that a normal job will not and a life that you will enjoy and love along with your family!
You will have the freedom to work whenever, from wherever you want. I myself have been able to travel with my kids and husband and in my downtime, I’m still able to do #translations as long as I have WiFi

You will decide who you want to work with when you want to work and how much you want to make! Remember: being self-employed, freelancer, an entrepreneur is not easy!!!

Have you ever wondered, if your “bilingual employee, staff interpreter” speaks, understands and is actually interpreting or saying everything you say “word for word”?

Many employers think that using a “Bilingual” staff member in their business is going to SAVE them $$…but let me tell you that is so far from the TRUTH!
A Bilingual person maybe able to help you and your customers communicate basic things…”How’s your day, what are you doing, what do you have plan, what are your tasks, basic things”…
However, if your conduction an employee evaluation, employee meeting, benefits meetings, client/attorney meeting, medical evaluation, etc you will need the services of a Professional AND Experienced Interpreter.
Many companies, employers, businesses think that just because a person is “bilingual”, they are competent to provide Professional Interpreting services?
That is so NOT TRUE! Don’t put your Business at Risk (to SAVE MONEY) in the long run it will end up costing you 1000s of dollars, if you don’t hire/contract an experienced professional.
In order to be a Professional Interpreter, NOT ONLY do you need to be Fluent in both the Source language but also the Target language, but more importantly you need to know:
What it takes; Basic Interpreting Skills
What to do; Roles and Functions
And your Responsibilities
And so much more; Ethics, Standards and Protocols, etc

After working as a Corporation under Hispanic Services Interpreters in early 2000 and ONLY catering to the Hispanic Community I decided in 2005 to re-brand and change my name to International Language Interpreters, Inc dba IL Interpreters and expanding my services and offering over 100 languages worldwide.
Things were booming, jobs were created (hired 8+ full-time employees), trained and contracted hundreds and thousands of interpreters, everyone was working, things were GREAT, the business was great and then…!
In 2006/2007 unbeknownst to me (not knowing) that the economy was on the verge of collapsing my business started to suffer!
There were budget cuts, not being paid by insurance companies, or general businesses, businesses closing, etc. And, at the time, unfortunately, 90% of my business was with the State, County and Insurance Companies! I had made the mistake that I said I would NEVER make “put all my eggs in 1 basket”.
So, despite the decrease in payments and work I tried and tried to keep up float to make ends meet, to make things right, but just like many businesses I, unfortunately, was unable to continue because I wasn’t being paid, the business slowed down and I since I didn’t have investors, angel investors, and no longer had equity in my home things got to the point that we were literally “robbing Peter to pay Paul”; we had to lay off 8 Full-Time employees and; we could no longer pay our bills, my interpreters, my health started to diminish, interpreters started to bash me, and to make matters worse, I was dealing with a bad pregnancy, my son in a body cast (due to femur fracture, my father slowly dying of Glioblastoma, almost losing my home, and to make it worse, I was still recovering from an auto accident and unfortunately I made the decision to shut down my business!
At the time I was sad, disappointed, hurt, I went through a bad depression, I was so miserable, in pain, just suffering so much due to all these horrible circumstances, but…I #nevergiveup
After a few years of major struggles and the closing of the Corporation and going through all the devastating events – years later the economy started to pick up and it started to get better!
Now, during this time frame, I didn’t stop #hustling I continued to do what I love; “Interpreting and Translation, Training, and Coaching” and was ready to #BossUpandRise
So for the last couple of years, I continued to provide services in both English<>Spanish. I continued to receive calls from some of my loyal customers (and those that survived the crash) requesting services and for “other languages and services”, but I decided I would NOT provide these services any longer, so to avoid these calls and since I had made the decision to no longer offer services in “Other Languages” in 2014.
So, I decided to Re-Brand Myself, so that I could just reflect my own personal services in my own language.
So, here I am providing services to my customers and adding these additional services to make up for the “other languages”, I’ve decided to include the following services in English <>Spanish.
