International Women’s Day was originally called International Working Women’s Day, which is celebrated every 8th of March of every year.
It commemorates the movement for women’s rights. This is a global day whereas all women celebrate the:
Social, Economic, Cultural and Political Achievements of ALL WOMAN!
This year we are asking all woman to be bold for change and on this day: “On International Women’s Day, let us all pledge to do everything we can to overcome entrenched prejudice, support engagement, and activism, and promote gender equality and women’s empowerment” – UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres
Women are like superheroes!
There are so many of us who work from home, working in our homes, or at a corporate office, and for many of us, our day NEVER ends.
Especially those of us who have a family; husband and children. Our job never ends even when we are done working, we come home to work some more; i.e., cooking, cleaning, washing, bathing our kids, homework, etc…
On this special day, I ask everyone to say:
“Thank you, Mom, Thank you, wife, Thank you sister, Thank you, friend,” for being who we are and going above and beyond to help those who need help, to help our children, our husbands, and our friends!
