Simple Home Tidiness Tips to Make You Feel More Relaxed

Living “clutter” free and organized can make your life so much easier, less stressed, hectic and make you feel so good!

Keeping up with clutter in the home can be challenging in our on-the-go lifestyle.  However, maintaining a tidy home can actually promote relaxation.  Here are some simple tips for finding orderliness and well-being.

Tidy means better well-being.  Keeping an uncluttered, tidy home can actually be good for you.  According to some studies, there are numerous health benefits from decluttering.  Tidying up can improve mental health by reducing fatigue, stress levels, and symptoms of depression.  Homeowners tend to feel surrounded by unfinished business when homes are cluttered.  An uncluttered home promotes better rest.  Also, those who make their beds in the morning are more apt to enjoy a good night’s sleep, especially if climbing into fresh sheets.  A tidy home is less distracting, thereby promoting focus and productivity.  Messy homes appear to induce unhealthy eating patterns with more snacking on junk foods, and there is a correlation between cluttered homes and being overweight.

It’s therapeutic.  There seems to be a form of catharsis in the act of tidying a home.  NBC notes that reducing clutter through the elimination of things we feel tied to can be freeing.  For instance, you could give away that outfit your mother bought you but you will never wear, which is a release from the item.  We improve our feelings of independence and control in our lives by unloading things.  You may even make a little extra cash by selling off belongings you no longer want or need.  A clean, uncluttered home can make you feel good with less to look at, too.  Both you and your guests can feel more relaxed with less “stuff” surrounding you.

“Class aptent taciti sociosqu ad litora per conubia nostra, per inceptos himenaeos .Aenean non turpis vitae ligula tristique sagitt isras varius erat pulvinar eros pretium”

Where to begin.  Try starting in one room or in a section of a room.  Begin with easy areas and go to more difficult ones later.  Try a simple task first, such as eliminating junk mail and never-used plasticware. Then tackle more emotional projects later, such as jewelry you rarely wear or the extra winter coat you don’t really need.

Cleaning up.  Along with an uncluttered home, you’ll feel better keeping your home cleaner.  The two go hand in hand in making you feel good, and some studies show you’ll improve your mental and physical health with better house-cleaning habits.  While you could hire a cleaning service for this work, those costs will add up (a maid service typically costs $116 – 235 per visit). Here are a handful of simple tips you can do on your own to keep your home cleaner and tidier:

  • Opt for some tools to help you remove pet hair. Pet hair can collect everywhere, including furniture, ceiling fans, table tops, and carpeting.  Use a sticky lint roller, groom your pet with a grooming glove (available for $6.99), and invest in a great vacuum.
  • Remove your shoes when you come into the house. Shoes bring in dirt, germs, and debris from outside, which gets trapped in carpeting.
  • Wipe down kitchen counters routinely. Country Living recommends a solution of vinegar, water, and almond dish soap to cut through grease and leave a fresh scent.
  • Put away your clothes. Dirty items should go into a hamper, clean clothes can be folded and stored in dressers or hung, and in the morning, put your pajamas away appropriately.
  • Spruce up the bathroom every morning. Keep a squeegee handy to wipe the door and walls of the shower after each use, and wipe down your sink area with cleaning wipes before leaving for the day.
  • Clean as you cook. By not allowing dishes to pile up while you’re making meals, you don’t finish eating knowing you must deal with a disaster in your kitchen.
  • End your days on a good note. Ask everyone in the house to spend a few minutes tidying up before going to bed.  Picking up toys, hanging coats, and putting away shoes means not getting up to a mess in the morning.

Clean and tidy.  Some simple strategies can equate to a home that promotes your health and wellness.  Spend time decluttering and do some quick cleanups every day.  You’ll reap the benefits of a happier, healthier home!

How to Go Vegetarian the Healthy Way

Get Healthy and Fit…

Listen to your body and (try) maintain a stress-free life…

FAVIOLA VALENCIA, THE CEO HUSTLER

THANKS TO BLOG CONTRIBUTOR SHEILA OLSON

Eating a vegetarian diet comes with many benefits:

It reduces harm to the environment, cuts down on animal cruelty, and promotes health in the body, to name a few.

However, while many people think that going vegetarian will automatically help them lose weight and live healthier, the vegetarian diet is much more than simply not eating meat.

In order to lose weight safely and maintain your health, you have to make sure you are still getting the nutrition your body needs.

Here are some essential tips for those who are considering the vegetarian lifestyle.

Cut Calories Wisely

No matter what kind of diet you do, eating fewer calories than you burn is how you lose weight.

While it can be tempting to want to lose weight as fast as possible, it’s important that you do it gradually.

Otherwise, you’ll be starving your body of the nutrition it needs; not only is this unhealthy, but it will make it more difficult to manage your weight once it’s down.

Set a goal of losing no more than two pounds a week, which generally requires a deficit of 1,000 calories a day.

You can also aid your weight loss by adding exercise to your routine.

Be sure to consult your doctor to make sure your diet plan is safe for you to take on.

During your diet, there may be times when you feel hungrier than usual.

Plexus offers Slim Drinks that are great as meal supplements or snacks, such as the Slim Hunger Control and Slim Microbiome Activating.

These drinks are completely vegetarian, and they can help you feel more full while fostering your weight-loss goals and supporting your glucose metabolism.

Choose Healthy Carbs

Many who are trying to lose weight on a vegetarian diet often get tripped up by carbohydrates.

If you simply eat more pasta, cereals, chips, and other processed carbs in the absence of meat, however, you won’t lose weight; actually, you’ll probably gain weight.

Your calories should consist of no more than 40 percent carbs each day.

Limit the amount of bread and pasta you eat and opt for whole-grain when possible.

Try to get the bulk of your carbs from vegetables and fruits like kale, spinach, bananas, apples, and carrots.

Get Your Protein

When you live a vegetarian lifestyle, you have to make sure you eat enough protein in your diet.

In fact, 30 to 40 percent of your daily caloric intake should be protein.

While meat is a primary source of protein, there are more than enough vegetarian sources.

For instance, chickpeas, quinoa, beans, lentils, tofu, and tempeh are common vegetarian foods that provide protein — and they can be included in a wide variety of dishes.

Choose Healthy Fats

Finally, it’s essential to make healthy fats a part of your diet.

As with protein and carbs, how much fat you should eat depends on your body size and type.

As a general rule of thumb, about 20 to 35 percent of your calories should consist of fats each day.

Whatever kind of diet you follow, good fats are preferred over bad ones, and there are many ways to get good fats on a vegetarian diet.

Avocado is one of the best sources, and it’s also one of the most popular among vegetarians. Other sources of healthy fats are oils, seeds, olives, flaxseed, and cheese.

If you’re going vegetarian, it’s important to ensure you’re getting the proper nutrition you need to remain healthy.

Remember to cut your daily caloric intake gradually so that you can stay healthy and maintain your weight once you reach your goal.

Look into all the good sources of protein, carbs, and fats so that you can form your meals and snacks around them.

The vegetarian lifestyle can be very beneficial if you approach it mindfully.

4 Simple Tips to Help Entrepreneurs Get The Sleep They Need for Success

4 Simple Tips to Help Entrepreneurs

Get The Sleep They Need for Success

Start Your Own Business

By fAVIOLA VALENCIA-ARANDA

Are you losing sleep due to your small business goals? Well, you could be derailing your efforts to reach those goals faster. Sleep is crucial for your health and wellness — and even your success. So, here is how you can help yourself get more of it.

Your Tech Could Be Keeping You Up

Being a successful small business owner often means being attached to your laptop and smartphone. But if you make a habit of bringing those devices into your bedroom, you could be disrupting your sleep quality.

The bright blue light emitted from cell phones, computers, tablets, and televisions prevents your brain from producing the melatonin needed to fall asleep soundly and stay there for enough time.

Getting those devices out of your room is a good first step to enhancing your sleep levels. While most tech should be banished from your bedroom, some smart devices are actually made to help you sleep.

If you have problems getting your business to-do list out of your head, using a noise machine can help calm your brain, or you could look into a vibrating alarm clock so you are not jolted out of your dreams by noise.

“Selfcare is so important for the daily and business life, so take care of yourself, we only have 1 life, so let’s take care of it the best we can! – Faviola”

Quality Sleep Is Key to Your Success

In business, a busy schedule is prized. However, if your schedule as an entrepreneur is getting in the way of your sleep hygiene, you could be impacting your success.

You need sleep in order to focus on getting your business up and running and to keep yourself healthy enough to do your best every day. So, freeing up some of that work time for more sleep can actually be more beneficial for your business.

If bouts of insomnia are keeping you up, know that sleeplessness is common among entrepreneurs too. All the emotions and thoughts that are racing through your head can make it hard to wind down, even when you schedule to sleep. If you cannot get the seven to eight hours you need every night, at least take steps to improve your sleep quality. Keep your bedroom cool and dark so you can get the most out of the rest you do get.

Your Night Routine Plays a Critical Role

Even if you get your tech out of the bedroom and schedule time for sleep, it still may not be enough.

Your nighttime habits before bedtime affect your sleep quality as much as what you do in your bedroom. Try winding down your work assignments earlier and getting into bed so that you can get an earlier beginning to your day.

If your usual nighttime routine includes checking emails and answering phone calls, you may need to adjust those practices too. In order to get the rest, you need to be successful, you have to guard your personal time.

Set out-of-office hours that will give you time to unwind before crawling into bed. Doing so from the start will help you maintain that positive balance between your work and life as you become more successful.

But Your Health Routines Have an Impact Too

The way you care for yourself during the day matters just as much too.

For example, many entrepreneurs reach for the most convenient food and beverages to keep themselves going. Before you reach for that high-fat snack, however, you should know that it could end up keeping you awake.

More fat and processed foods in your diet can lead to disruptions in necessary sleep processes, as well as digestive issues that can make you too uncomfortable to sleep. An imbalanced gut can lead to an upset stomach, constipation, and other problems that can make it harder to sleep.

So, think about meal prepping some healthier options, and also consider getting in daily workouts, which will help you sleep better too.

Sleep is not an option, especially if you hope to start and run your own small business. Your brain needs sleep in order to focus and get those crucial business tasks done.

So, if you are looking for long-term sleep as an entrepreneur, make sure that better sleep hygiene is listed on your shortlist of life and business goals.

Healthy eating, and NOT skipping meals” I take my shakes and vitamins from @herbalife as well as probiotics, and fish oil, and oregano and grape seed oil and other organic items”…

*Always check with your Dr. before starting or stopping any type of medicine and even vitamins

6. Resting, yes! Actually sleeping, using melatonin (Melatonin has been used safely for up to 2 years in some people. However, it can cause some side effects including headache, short-term feelings of depression, daytime sleepiness, dizziness, stomach cramps, and irritability.), sleep now from @thrive4wellness_herbalife and chamomile or cinnamon tea…
7. More importantly, AVOID STRESS, STRESS IS A “KILLER”… According to the American Psychological Association, chronic stress is linked to the six leading causes of death: heart disease, cancer, lung ailments, accidents, cirrhosis of the liver and suicide. And more than 75 percent of all physician office visits are for stress-related ailments and complaints.       yes, it will bring you to your “knees and break you”!…

8. Know your “triggers” and try to AVOID them so you can PREVENT flare-ups! (Flare-ups can send you back to the hospital, trust me I know, I’ve been there)
9. Don’t WORK to HARD, know your limits and LEARN to LISTEN to your BODY!.
10. Remember that no matter what you do, you will have ups and downs and it’s how you learn to handle them and cope with them that matters!….

Best Health apps of 2019

Some two-thirds of American adults’ new year’s resolution included fitness goals. A shocking 73% gave up on their objective. It’s no secret that staying active and eating healthily while juggling chaotic work and home life is not easy. However, it’s disheartening to know that under a quarter of Americans are satisfying the recommended amount of weekly exercise — just 150 minutes.

That’s under three hours of exercise per week, which isn’t a lot in the grand scheme of things. Even just 30 minutes of jogging or running per day could make a difference in your life. Living a healthy lifestyle will make you feel better and improve your overall quality of life.
