Clean air is important for our health, but we often associate it solely with the outdoors. Pollution of all kinds can be found across the U.S., although more and more people are making an effort to reduce their consumption of fuel and energy in order to offset the effects of global warming. However, air pollution can also occur inside the home, creating issues related to mold, bacteria, dust and mites. That’s why it’s so important to ensure that your house has the cleanest air possible through cleaning and the removal of pollutants.

One of the most overlooked air quality issues in a home is often the filter for the HVAC system. When the filter isn’t changed for a period of time, dust, debris, pet hair and even pollen can become trapped inside and blow right back out into your home as it gets full. Changing your air filter once a month — especially during the spring and summer, when outdoor air quality is often the worst — can help you keep your family safe and healthy.

“Always do what you love and remember to #bossupandrise”

Remove and prevent mold

Mold is a pollutant that can cause lots of problems if left untreated, from asthma to a chronic cough. If you use a rubber-backed bathmat on the floor, hang it up after each use to air dry and wash it often. Keep an eye out for standing water in the basement especially after it rains, and make sure the hot water heater is in good shape. For more on mold and its dangers, read on here.

Add some plants

Indoor plants are great for improving air quality, and they won’t break the bank, either. As a low-cost, easy-to-care-for option, you can place aloe vera plants around a room to help boost the oxygen levels and add some color. Just make sure you choose plants that are safe for pets and children and keep them out of reach out of an abundance of caution.

Dust and vacuum regularly

It can be difficult to stick to a schedule of cleaning when you already have so much on your plate, but dusting and vacuuming regularly will help you keep the air clean and reduce allergies for yourself and your family members. This is especially important if you have pets, as their hair and dander can contribute to the air quality in every room they’re in. Shake out carpets outdoors, and don’t forget to clean the furniture, especially if your pets lounge on it.

Use the A/C

You may be tempted to save on your utility bills in the spring and summer by leaving the windows open for fresh air rather than turning on the air conditioning, but you’d be surprised at how much that can change the quality of your home’s air. Pollen, spores and bugs can come in through open windows, leaving you vulnerable to allergies and sticking to your carpets and furniture. Some fresh air is fine, but using the A/C as much as possible will help eliminate some of those allergens.

Having clean air in your home is imperative when it comes to keeping your family healthy, and it doesn’t have to be stressful. Look for ways you can ensure each room in your house is clean and talk to your family members about how they can help.

So it’s so important to keep your home, office and surrounding areas clean especially for those with allergies, autoimmune disorder or medical conditions.

Lessons Learned Throughout my Business

Faviola the CEO Hustler

TRUE STORY📖 I started my business in 2000 all with a Dream & Vision, but NEVER in my wildest dreams did I think 🤔 I had it in me to build a Top-Notch Corporate Business, but I did it! (I built a 6-figure business in less than 3-months)😱

▶️I didn’t have a plan, BUT…▶️I did have a Vision & Dream ▶️I didn’t have a degree, but had tons of experience in Business! ▶️ I never let ANYTHING STOP ME 🛑 or get in my way to succeeding!

But then something happened…

“The Rise, The Fall, The ComeBack, I am Faviola #TheCEOHustler”

Life happened; I suffered an auto accident while coming back from San Francisco, CA.  I had all 3 of my kids in the car with me when we got rear-ended and I almost lost my small child, but Thank God, he’s OK, unfortunately I ended up with severe neck/back/tissue/tendon injuries (still suffer from these same pains)!

A few months after we were at the Lake (our favorite place to relax) where unfortunately our middle child suffered a severe fracture (Jetski injury) and was in a body cast (femur fracture) for months!!!

And, if things couldn’t get worse I was pregnant (which it’s supposed to be the best time for a mother, right?) unfortunately for me it was such a horrible time and such a bad experience because I almost lost my Baby Girl due to a bad pregnancy due to (severe cholestasis), I was in/out of hospital 🏥 for 6-months until finally my husband couldn’t handle me anymore and had to get me hospitalized (admitted into hospital) for care and treatment and well my daughter was finally born (premature baby at only 32 weeks), but as you all see from my family pics thank God she’s a beautiful miracle princess!

Unfortunately during this same time frame my father was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, we were so devastated with everything going on…I was recovering from Auto Accident, Son in Body Cast, then I got pregnant 🤰 almost lost my daughter all while my poor father was slowly dying from Brain 🧠 Cancer and all while the economy was collapsing…S*** 💩was literally happening all at once!

⚠️Unbeknown to us the business was also starting to go downhill all due to these⚠️”Life Situations and Unforeseen Circumstances)! ⚠️And of course, things just got worse I started getting sued left & right, getting harassed, threatened (interpreter literally coming to my home threatening me!!!😢) who FREAKING DOES THAT?!!!  I had 100s of clients who owed me money 💵 who were not paying, the government shutdown affected my business so000 bad, yet I wasn’t at my client’s homes/doors/place of business harassing them or threatening them, but hey we are ALL DIFFERENT, RIGHT?!

And then S*** 💩😢happened my father passed📿 all while on verge of losing my house, losing everything I worked so hard for 💔no money, in pain, sick, devastated, defeated, etc…It felt like a knife “ripping through my chest”💔!

Life was happening behind the ‘scenes’ but sorry to say that the “ruthless” ‘interpreters/contractors’ who for years I provided work too, who I always put first, took them to eat, gave them awards, stipends, opened the doors to my house, invited them to workshops (for free), provided them with FREE Training  (because without them my business would not have grown as big as it did), but when S***💩hit the fan everything I did for them went out the window and they forgot who I was and smeared my name like I was nothing!

Now I have forgiven because I’m sure (they were going through similar situations due to the economy) but honestly they were being brutal & didn’t understand or cared about my situation…They didn’t care that 1. My family was depending on me 2. 10 other employees & so many others were too…

Unfortunately, after my Dad passed I no longer gave a S*** 💩😢 and had no choice but to file for Bankruptcy and Closed my Doors!

I felt like a total failure, defeated, depressed and just TIRED!!!

BUT!!! I #NeverGiveUp if my father taught me anything that was to Never Give Up!

After a few months of therapy, counseling and letting the storm pass, I decided to get up and #BossUpandRise 💯🔥I dusted my self off and went back 🔙 to the drawing board!

Looking back I don’t regret ANYTHING, but wished I could have done better, been better prepared, but hey God does things for a REASON!

I NOW appreciate that experience because;

1️⃣ I understand that God does things for a reason and this experience was necessary for me to learn & understand that we must prepare for the future & for ‘unforeseen circumstances’, but also take care of ourselves before being able to take care of others.

2️⃣ It helped me so that I can help others AVOID these same struggles, challenges, but more importantly, help them prepare for the future and give back through training and development!

3️⃣ It helped me to be the person I am today. Share+Learn+Grow+Prepare+Plan for the Future and continue to Help Others!

You see, we all make mistakes, but we can all learn from them & help others AVOID these same mistakes.🙏

We have 2 Choices..Get up ##BossUpandRise or Stay down and be defeated!

Simple Home Tidiness Tips to Make You Feel More Relaxed

Living “clutter” free and organized can make your life so much easier, less stressed, hectic and make you feel so good!

Keeping up with clutter in the home can be challenging in our on-the-go lifestyle.  However, maintaining a tidy home can actually promote relaxation.  Here are some simple tips for finding orderliness and well-being.

Tidy means better well-being.  Keeping an uncluttered, tidy home can actually be good for you.  According to some studies, there are numerous health benefits from decluttering.  Tidying up can improve mental health by reducing fatigue, stress levels, and symptoms of depression.  Homeowners tend to feel surrounded by unfinished business when homes are cluttered.  An uncluttered home promotes better rest.  Also, those who make their beds in the morning are more apt to enjoy a good night’s sleep, especially if climbing into fresh sheets.  A tidy home is less distracting, thereby promoting focus and productivity.  Messy homes appear to induce unhealthy eating patterns with more snacking on junk foods, and there is a correlation between cluttered homes and being overweight.

It’s therapeutic.  There seems to be a form of catharsis in the act of tidying a home.  NBC notes that reducing clutter through the elimination of things we feel tied to can be freeing.  For instance, you could give away that outfit your mother bought you but you will never wear, which is a release from the item.  We improve our feelings of independence and control in our lives by unloading things.  You may even make a little extra cash by selling off belongings you no longer want or need.  A clean, uncluttered home can make you feel good with less to look at, too.  Both you and your guests can feel more relaxed with less “stuff” surrounding you.

“Class aptent taciti sociosqu ad litora per conubia nostra, per inceptos himenaeos .Aenean non turpis vitae ligula tristique sagitt isras varius erat pulvinar eros pretium”

Where to begin.  Try starting in one room or in a section of a room.  Begin with easy areas and go to more difficult ones later.  Try a simple task first, such as eliminating junk mail and never-used plasticware. Then tackle more emotional projects later, such as jewelry you rarely wear or the extra winter coat you don’t really need.

Cleaning up.  Along with an uncluttered home, you’ll feel better keeping your home cleaner.  The two go hand in hand in making you feel good, and some studies show you’ll improve your mental and physical health with better house-cleaning habits.  While you could hire a cleaning service for this work, those costs will add up (a maid service typically costs $116 – 235 per visit). Here are a handful of simple tips you can do on your own to keep your home cleaner and tidier:

  • Opt for some tools to help you remove pet hair. Pet hair can collect everywhere, including furniture, ceiling fans, table tops, and carpeting.  Use a sticky lint roller, groom your pet with a grooming glove (available for $6.99), and invest in a great vacuum.
  • Remove your shoes when you come into the house. Shoes bring in dirt, germs, and debris from outside, which gets trapped in carpeting.
  • Wipe down kitchen counters routinely. Country Living recommends a solution of vinegar, water, and almond dish soap to cut through grease and leave a fresh scent.
  • Put away your clothes. Dirty items should go into a hamper, clean clothes can be folded and stored in dressers or hung, and in the morning, put your pajamas away appropriately.
  • Spruce up the bathroom every morning. Keep a squeegee handy to wipe the door and walls of the shower after each use, and wipe down your sink area with cleaning wipes before leaving for the day.
  • Clean as you cook. By not allowing dishes to pile up while you’re making meals, you don’t finish eating knowing you must deal with a disaster in your kitchen.
  • End your days on a good note. Ask everyone in the house to spend a few minutes tidying up before going to bed.  Picking up toys, hanging coats, and putting away shoes means not getting up to a mess in the morning.

Clean and tidy.  Some simple strategies can equate to a home that promotes your health and wellness.  Spend time decluttering and do some quick cleanups every day.  You’ll reap the benefits of a happier, healthier home!

Vision and Dream Board

Vision Board 4 You!

A Vision Board is just a Vision if you don’t have clarity or don’t know How to make it work for you!

A Vision and Dream Board are simples methods to help you stay Motivated, Inspired and to Help Your Dreams and Vision turn into reality!

Your brain will work tirelessly to achieve the statements you give your subconscious mind. And when those statements are the affirmations and images of your goals, you are destined to achieve them! – Jack Canfield

How did I start?

I started with a Vision at about the age of 14...

I created my first Vision Board around 94′ many people (back then) didn’t know much about boards.

I use to cut-out pictures from magazines, or would take pictures of things that inspired or things that I wanted to do, or from people! Unfortunately, I don’t have that Vision Board (got lost when we moved to Sacramento)…But my Vision and Mission never changed!

My Family and Life Vision were simple…

Like many little girls, I wanted to get married, have children and live in a small house with a “white picket’ fence.

  1. Married my “longtime childhood friend”.
  2. Bought our “small white picket fence” in 96′ at the young age of about 22.
  3. We have our ideal family (4 beautiful children)
  4. Remodeled my kitchen “designed it just like I wanted; custom cabinets, open concept, beautiful tile, etc)
  5. Bought our ideal Toys (cash no financing); Jetski, 4 wheeler and SS (SS turned out to be a lemon, so dealer bought it back)

Bottom line everything I dreamed of when I was a young girl came to reality!  Onto my Business Corporate Life.

My Business Life and Vision I come from a family of immigrants, we immigrated into the Country around 78′-79′. My father started his Upholstery Business in the late ’80s; he inspired me and motivated me and made me want to Be My Own Boss.

I’m a hard worker, go-getter, researcher and not afraid to take on a challenge!  At the age of 14, I started working and love having and earning my own money.  I worked in a variety of fields, sectors and by the time I was 17 I was working as an Office Manager for a Small Construction Business.  So not only, seeing my father being his own boss, but working for a small to medium size business motivated me to continue working toward my Vision.

  1. Started my Freelance business in 2000
  2. Mid-2000 I turned my Freelance business into a Corporate Business
  3. End of 2000, my business was now a Million Dollar business
  4. End of 2000, I had over 2,500 contractors, over 10+ employees, contracts throughout the USA and abroad
  5. I wanted to become a Top Notch interpreter and I achieved that by self-training and development and researching and I’m able to provide services to a variety of business sectors!
  6. Wanted to live the “Lap Top” business life and I have and I am by incorporating services to make that Dream a reality
  7. I work from home and I am an Entrepreneur!

How to Contract a Virtual Assistant

Posted on

Hiring a Virtual Assistant, what you need to do before you decide to hire/contract/work/invest on a VA for you and your business.

Question: Your business is growing, right? Great!

But do you have the tools, processes, and procedures in place to hire/contract people in order to continue that growth without overwhelming yourself?

Well, now’s a great time to take charge and see where you may need help, as well as what processes and procedures you need to put in place to get this process started!

Here are somethings to ponder...

So, if your thoughts are to grow your business (today or in the future), you have to understand that it’s going to require lots and lots of work, if you want this contracting/recruiting process to work!

Things you must consider before you decide to hire employees, or recruit freelancers because (trust me), they will either “make you or break you”…YES, I SAID IT!

Also, keep in mind that it’s your responsibility not only to hire/contract employees, freelancers, contractors, management, etc., but it’s also your responsibility to train, mentor, but more importantly to have processes and procedures in place, because otherwise instead of moving forward you will be taking steps back!

💡TIP 1: Don’t line people up without having the right procedures in place.

💡Tip 2: Really understand your Biz growth and what you need and where you want to go.

💡Tip 3: Set your processes in place; recruiting, HR, administration, etc.

  • Lining people up before having processes in place will ONLY create chaos, confusion and in the long run problems.
  • Many of use don’t have an HR degree, or experience and therefore we may not be good in the whole recruiting and training process and that is why creating these processes and procedures will come in handy. (I created my own internal processes and procedures and therefore have been tested and proven to work effectively for all business sectors)
  • So, if you decide and envision your business growing, it is very, very important to have these procedures in place for each department, each staff member, etc.

These are just some basics to ponder, but it requires more than just this…

I hope you find these growth strategies helpful when you decided to hire help. These three simple tips make such a huge difference when it comes to getting the right person for the job, trust me, I’ve been there!

For more guidance and specific tips for your situation, that’s where my coaching can be even more useful – so contact me today, let’s chat and see how we can work together and get your processes and procedures in place, so that you can #BOSSUPANDRISE and be that #CEOHUSTLER you’ve always dreamed of!
