Simple Home Tidiness Tips to Make You Feel More Relaxed

Keeping up with clutter in the home can be challenging in our on-the-go lifestyle.  However, maintaining a tidy home can actually promote relaxation.  Here are some simple tips for finding orderliness and well-being.

Tidy means better well-being.  Keeping an uncluttered, tidy home can actually be good for you.  According to some studies, there are numerous health benefits from decluttering.  Tidying up can improve mental health by reducing fatigue, stress levels, and symptoms of depression.  Homeowners tend to feel surrounded by unfinished business when homes are cluttered.  An uncluttered home promotes better rest.  Also, those who make their beds in the morning are more apt to enjoy a good night’s sleep, especially if climbing into fresh sheets.  A tidy home is less distracting, thereby promoting focus and productivity.  Messy homes appear to induce unhealthy eating patterns with more snacking on junk foods, and there is a correlation between cluttered homes and being overweight.

It’s therapeutic.  There seems to be a form of catharsis in the act of tidying a home.  NBC notes that reducing clutter through the elimination of things we feel tied to can be freeing.  For instance, you could give away that outfit your mother bought you but you will never wear, which is a release from the item.  We improve our feelings of independence and control in our lives by unloading things.  You may even make a little extra cash by selling off belongings you no longer want or need.  A clean, uncluttered home can make you feel good with less to look at, too.  Both you and your guests can feel more relaxed with less “stuff” surrounding you.

“Class aptent taciti sociosqu ad litora per conubia nostra, per inceptos himenaeos .Aenean non turpis vitae ligula tristique sagitt isras varius erat pulvinar eros pretium”

Where to begin.  Try starting in one room or in a section of a room.  Begin with easy areas and go to more difficult ones later.  Try a simple task first, such as eliminating junk mail and never-used plasticware. Then tackle more emotional projects later, such as jewelry you rarely wear or the extra winter coat you don’t really need.

Cleaning up.  Along with an uncluttered home, you’ll feel better keeping your home cleaner.  The two go hand in hand in making you feel good, and some studies show you’ll improve your mental and physical health with better house-cleaning habits.  While you could hire a cleaning service for this work, those costs will add up (a maid service typically costs $116 – 235 per visit). Here are a handful of simple tips you can do on your own to keep your home cleaner and tidier:

  • Opt for some tools to help you remove pet hair. Pet hair can collect everywhere, including furniture, ceiling fans, table tops, and carpeting.  Use a sticky lint roller, groom your pet with a grooming glove (available for $6.99), and invest in a great vacuum.
  • Remove your shoes when you come into the house. Shoes bring in dirt, germs, and debris from outside, which gets trapped in carpeting.
  • Wipe down kitchen counters routinely. Country Living recommends a solution of vinegar, water, and almond dish soap to cut through grease and leave a fresh scent.
  • Put away your clothes. Dirty items should go into a hamper, clean clothes can be folded and stored in dressers or hung, and in the morning, put your pajamas away appropriately.
  • Spruce up the bathroom every morning. Keep a squeegee handy to wipe the door and walls of the shower after each use, and wipe down your sink area with cleaning wipes before leaving for the day.
  • Clean as you cook. By not allowing dishes to pile up while you’re making meals, you don’t finish eating knowing you must deal with a disaster in your kitchen.
  • End your days on a good note. Ask everyone in the house to spend a few minutes tidying up before going to bed.  Picking up toys, hanging coats, and putting away shoes means not getting up to a mess in the morning.

Clean and tidy.  Some simple strategies can equate to a home that promotes your health and wellness.  Spend time decluttering and do some quick cleanups every day.  You’ll reap the benefits of a happier, healthier home!

Vision and Dream Board

Vision Board 4 You!

A Vision Board is just a Vision if you don’t have clarity or don’t know How to make it work for you!

A Vision and Dream Board are simples methods to help you stay Motivated, Inspired and to Help Your Dreams and Vision turn into reality!

Your brain will work tirelessly to achieve the statements you give your subconscious mind. And when those statements are the affirmations and images of your goals, you are destined to achieve them! – Jack Canfield

How did I start?

I started with a Vision at about the age of 14...

I created my first Vision Board around 94′ many people (back then) didn’t know much about boards.

I use to cut-out pictures from magazines, or would take pictures of things that inspired or things that I wanted to do, or from people! Unfortunately, I don’t have that Vision Board (got lost when we moved to Sacramento)…But my Vision and Mission never changed!

My Family and Life Vision were simple…

Like many little girls, I wanted to get married, have children and live in a small house with a “white picket’ fence.

  1. Married my “longtime childhood friend”.
  2. Bought our “small white picket fence” in 96′ at the young age of about 22.
  3. We have our ideal family (4 beautiful children)
  4. Remodeled my kitchen “designed it just like I wanted; custom cabinets, open concept, beautiful tile, etc)
  5. Bought our ideal Toys (cash no financing); Jetski, 4 wheeler and SS (SS turned out to be a lemon, so dealer bought it back)

Bottom line everything I dreamed of when I was a young girl came to reality!  Onto my Business Corporate Life.

My Business Life and Vision I come from a family of immigrants, we immigrated into the Country around 78′-79′. My father started his Upholstery Business in the late ’80s; he inspired me and motivated me and made me want to Be My Own Boss.

I’m a hard worker, go-getter, researcher and not afraid to take on a challenge!  At the age of 14, I started working and love having and earning my own money.  I worked in a variety of fields, sectors and by the time I was 17 I was working as an Office Manager for a Small Construction Business.  So not only, seeing my father being his own boss, but working for a small to medium size business motivated me to continue working toward my Vision.

  1. Started my Freelance business in 2000
  2. Mid-2000 I turned my Freelance business into a Corporate Business
  3. End of 2000, my business was now a Million Dollar business
  4. End of 2000, I had over 2,500 contractors, over 10+ employees, contracts throughout the USA and abroad
  5. I wanted to become a Top Notch interpreter and I achieved that by self-training and development and researching and I’m able to provide services to a variety of business sectors!
  6. Wanted to live the “Lap Top” business life and I have and I am by incorporating services to make that Dream a reality
  7. I work from home and I am an Entrepreneur!

How to Contract a Virtual Assistant

Posted on

Hiring a Virtual Assistant, what you need to do before you decide to hire/contract/work/invest on a VA for you and your business.

Question: Your business is growing, right? Great!

But do you have the tools, processes, and procedures in place to hire/contract people in order to continue that growth without overwhelming yourself?

Well, now’s a great time to take charge and see where you may need help, as well as what processes and procedures you need to put in place to get this process started!

Here are somethings to ponder...

So, if your thoughts are to grow your business (today or in the future), you have to understand that it’s going to require lots and lots of work, if you want this contracting/recruiting process to work!

Things you must consider before you decide to hire employees, or recruit freelancers because (trust me), they will either “make you or break you”…YES, I SAID IT!

Also, keep in mind that it’s your responsibility not only to hire/contract employees, freelancers, contractors, management, etc., but it’s also your responsibility to train, mentor, but more importantly to have processes and procedures in place, because otherwise instead of moving forward you will be taking steps back!

💡TIP 1: Don’t line people up without having the right procedures in place.

💡Tip 2: Really understand your Biz growth and what you need and where you want to go.

💡Tip 3: Set your processes in place; recruiting, HR, administration, etc.

  • Lining people up before having processes in place will ONLY create chaos, confusion and in the long run problems.
  • Many of use don’t have an HR degree, or experience and therefore we may not be good in the whole recruiting and training process and that is why creating these processes and procedures will come in handy. (I created my own internal processes and procedures and therefore have been tested and proven to work effectively for all business sectors)
  • So, if you decide and envision your business growing, it is very, very important to have these procedures in place for each department, each staff member, etc.

These are just some basics to ponder, but it requires more than just this…

I hope you find these growth strategies helpful when you decided to hire help. These three simple tips make such a huge difference when it comes to getting the right person for the job, trust me, I’ve been there!

For more guidance and specific tips for your situation, that’s where my coaching can be even more useful – so contact me today, let’s chat and see how we can work together and get your processes and procedures in place, so that you can #BOSSUPANDRISE and be that #CEOHUSTLER you’ve always dreamed of!

Social Media “Frenzy” “Hype”

How to Overcome Online Social Media Barriers

How many of you are overwhelmed with ALL this Online Social Media “Hype” going on!

How many of you are confused and even feeling stressed and even depressed because you are doing everything in your power to grow your online business?!

BUT…

Just when you think you “nailed it” and you’ve mastered it, SOMETHING NEW COMES UP, right?!

SO…

Now, you have to go back to the drawing board!

I know how you feel because for a minute I was just like you – going through those same challenges.  And more, so because I was seeing all these profiles with only (10 images) with 100K+ followers or those with (no images) and 20K+ followers, so I would ask myself…

“How in the world are all these people doing it? How come I post and post and no “real interaction”, no “real followers”, why isn’t my account growing, etc…And then…

I FIGURED IT OUT!

  1. People where BUYING FOLLOWERS!
  2. People were doing the “FOLLOW/UN-FOLLOW” method to grow faster!
  3. People were BUYING LIKES!
  4. People were BUYING LARGE FOLLOWER accounts!

So, then I continued to research and figured out that It’s the QTY of FOLLOWERS, it’s the QUALITY of REAL FOLLOWERS!

So…I STOPPED STRESSING OUT and STOPPED trying to be like the “Other Guys”!

  1. Yes, the “Shadow Banned” is REAL!
  2. Yes, the “Algorithm” is REAL!
  3. Yes, you can grow your account Organically, it just takes time!

Also, you DON’T NEED TO SPEND 100s and 1000s to START or GROW YOUR BUSINESS online!

Do the Basics, the BASICS ALWAYS WORK!

How to get started in the Gig Economy

Ready to Start or Grow Your Own Business doing what you Love? This is a Good Read, let me know your thoughts in the comments!

FAviola the CEO Hustler

By FAVIOLA VALENCIA "THE CEO HUSTLER" PROVIDING ELITE SERVICES 4 YOU.

THANKS TO BLOG CONTRIBUTOR LUCY REED

Are you tired of clocking in and out of your job every day? Do you long for the freedom to work around your own schedule? The freedom the gig economy provides helps millions of people work on their time while making enough money to support their dreams. However, working through the gig economy isn’t for everybody. It takes resources, dedication, and discipline. Read on to help determine if finding a job as a freelancer is right for you.

What Is the Gig Economy?

First of all, what even is the “gig economy?” This is a modern term we use to define a workforce where organizations contract independent workers for short-term working engagements. Oftentimes these workers find their “gigs” through technological platforms that help connect freelancers with people or companies that are looking for temporary help. Predictions estimate that by 2020, 40 percent of American workers will be freelance, independent contractors. Popular gig economy websites include:

“Class aptent taciti sociosqu ad litora per conubia nostra, per inceptos himenaeos .Aenean non turpis vitae ligula tristique sagitt isras varius erat pulvinar eros pretium”

  • Uber
  • Lyft
  • Turo
  • HopSkipDrive
  • AirBNB
  • OneFineStay
  • OpenAirplane
  • ToolLocker
  • ParkingPanda
  • Closet Collective
  • Postmates
  • Amazon Flex
  • TaskRabbit
  • Upwork
  • HelloTech
  • SpareHire
  • Freelancer
  • Etsy
  • Feastly
  • Udemy

Freelancing has its benefits. It allows people to work from wherever they are without having to adhere to a regular office schedule or regulations. However, there are definite drawbacks to working a gig. Freelancers have to be in charge of things other companies outsource to human resources departments.

If you want things such as health insurance and a retirement package, you will have to do the research and invest in them yourself. Furthermore, independent contractors in the United States work through 1099 contracts, meaning they get paid in full, and state and federal taxes are not withheld. When working as a freelancer, it is important to set aside money for tax payments while also tracking business-related expenses for deductions.

Getting Started with Gigs: Resources, Dedication, and Discipline Deciding what kind of freelancer you want to be that will depend on the resources you have.  Resources refer to both the things you own and the services you provide.  If you don’t have a car or a driver’s license, you can’t drive for a rideshare company.

The same thing goes for freelance work such as copywriting — if you don’t have the technology to connect with people online or the writing skills to do the task, there’s not much chance for you in that field. To decide what kind of gig is right for you, do a self-assessment of your assets to determine what works best for you.

Beyond your resources, you have to have dedication and discipline. Without a boss breathing down your neck, there is no one to hold you accountable for completing your work. If you want to freelance, you have to be a self-starter who sees your projects through. If you don’t manage your time effectively, you will end up disappointing your clients and failing to get hired again. Furthermore, you won’t make enough cash to make your living as a freelancer.

Tips for Freelancers

So you’ve determined your best route for gigs and you are ready to get going — great! Set yourself up for success with these helpful tips:

  • Set up space where you live for a home office. Even if your gigs take you out of the house, you need a space where you can organize your documents and schedule. Make sure you have your wiring and communication needs met in this area and personalize it with custom chairs, desks, and other furniture. Establish rules in your home office that provide structure and discipline in your working area separate from the relaxation and fun you have in the rest of the house.
  • Connect with other freelancers. Not only can they provide you with helpful tips and social support, but they may also be able to connect you with other clients in need of your services.
  • Don’t neglect your branding. Any time you advertise your services, you should stick to a particular set of visual rules that will create a visual imprint in a potential client’s mind.

***

The gig economy provides freedom and flexibility to work on your own schedule, but there are drawbacks as well. Budgeting for insurance, retirement, and taxes are just a few of the responsibilities a freelancer has to do on their own. However, if you have the resources, dedication, and discipline, there is nothing stopping you from pursuing a career you love!
